Dr Saber AminYavari is Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthopedics, University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) and Regenerative Medicine Center Utrecht. He received his PhD degree in Biomechanical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, in 2014. Since 2015 and after joining UMC Utrecht, his research mainly focused on the development of multifunctional coatings to solve orthopaedic implants challenges such as implant associated-infection and limited osseointegration. He has published more than 50 peer-review journal and conference papers which has been highly recognized and cited. Currently, he is the PI of BCCTI project funded by Health~Holland where he is developing bactericidal coating for complex titanium implants (Link). Also, he recently received the Take-off grant phase 1 from NWO to build an automated coating system (Link).
